It depends how long you would like Allister to speak! Most of his keynotes run for 45-60minutes, but some are as brief as 20 minutes. Allister is often asked to follow his keynote talk with a workshop where smaller groups can work together using the ReadyAlready® Growth Cycle t spark fresh thinking. Get in touch as soon as you have your draft event agenda so Allister can offer advice about how best to plan your day and get great value for money from his participation.

There’s no fixed fee for a keynote talk because every event is different. This year, his in-person fees have ranged from £0 (a local charity) to £28,000 (a long haul trip). Once Allister knows a bit about your event and requirements, he can give a fixed price quote that includes all travel and accommodation expenses. The fee will vary based on your event location and the agreed deliverables (for example, would like a talk or a talk+workshop+books+passports+webinar+…?) Fees also vary throughout the year based on demand, so a clever way to reduce the cost is to book Allister during the low season, or even on a Monday or Friday when there may be fewer competing events!

Your fee will cover Allister’s preparation and delivery time, plus any travel, visa, and accommodation expenses. Many event organisers also like to offer gifts of books, ReadyAlready® Passport Kits, and other goodies to their delegates, so these costs can also be included. Most importantly, you’ll get Allister’s famously helpful support before and after your event, plus his presence on the big day. Subject to his diary and onward travel commitments, Allister will be happy to support your event as much or as little as you need, so if you’d like him to sign books, attend a VIP lunch, or meet key people, just let him know during your pre-booking chat. If he’s at your event, he’s there for you. He’ll even help you put the chairs out if needed!

Allister enjoys helping selected not-for-profit and charity groups and typically speaks pro bono—for free!—up to ten times each year. All he will ask is that you cover his travel costs where these exceed £100. So, if your NFP organisation would like Allister’s help but is working with a budget of hope and borrowed paperclips, get in touch.
