You don’t have to move jobs, but you do have to keep moving.
Keeping things comfortable is a great recipe for premature irrelevance. And the moment we imagine our ways of working are working, career stagnation creeps in.
The reality is rather humbling; everything we know and do is already obsolete, because someone has figured out a smarter way to do it.
Literally everything can be improved in some small way.
Realising this shaped how I approach my work. Today it just feels like common sense.
