If you use a Windows Mobile powered smartphone or Pocket PC you may have noticed that using Reply All on emails may result in sending yourself an email. Now, presuming that you’re actually clever enough to remember that you typed a reply, this is not particularly useful. So why does it do this? It’s because your phone (smart though it is) doesn’t know the exact email address that you are sending from.
To fix this, follow these simple steps:
- Make sure you’re phone is not synchronising then click Start > Programs > ActiveSync > Menu > Options
- Click Email > Settings > Advanced then type your own email address under ‘Primary e-mail address’
- Job done!
